If the BIOS are set properly, it simply boots like any other device, simply put "USB Mass Storage Device" or whatever in front of hd0 in the boot order.
Bam! You're booting DSL from a usb device!
If your BIOS aren't capable of booting from USB (make sure that your bios is up do date), then we have a boot floppy for usb devices in the download area.
