When i changed the style the /home/dsl/.fluxbox/init file is also changed.

I did try the whole thing again, same problem, looks like everything is restored the te original settings.

Did you add /home/dsl/.fluxbox/init

to the end of your filetool.lst

backup and restore configuration file?

you will also want to add home/dsl/.fluxbox/backgrounds to your filetool.lst file.
