>I use VirtualPC from Connectix (b4 M$ bought em out..go figure) >and thats what I use to compile kernels and whatnot for >making MODS on my firewall app called SmoothWall... Interested to hear what you think of it. Iwas not so keen.
>Those other apps have been tested, retested, and have a >huge funded team working on them, qemu is a different >story, but its FREE Can you give me a url for qemu as I would like to find out more. It would be an ideal alternative for my students to use. (I am a lecturer at a college of further ed). I use VMWare for demonstrations and for testing new OS's/configs and find it very good.It is to pricey for my students to get though and a lot would like to try versions of linux etc but do not want to alter there machine (usually a family machine and alterations are on pain of death!)
