I posted this in the global thread, but it seems inactive. So here it is again.
I jumped back into my windows partition to do mine. Used winimage to get the USB boot image onto the pen drive, then IsoBuster to copy the DSL iso over, including the directory structure. It is booting OK, but i'm getting

Pen drive is formatted as Fat. I've tried Fat32, but I got a rather blunt "Boot Failed" message. I've also tried using the meun option after booting from a CD, but it doesn't work, and sometimes it won't start at all.
I've got Puppy Linux working off the drive without a hitch, but DSL is better, so i'll keep trying, at least for a while.
