Dual-Booting Windows 9x & DSL

  • This only works if you are using a FAT16 or FAT32 filesystem
  • May not work with older versions of DSL
  • Will not work with newer versions of Windows
  • Not sure if it will work with other versions of Linux
  • You must already have another OS Installed
  • You get to keep your old OS
  • I have only tried this with Windows 98

1) Perform a BOOTABLE Thumbdrive install

2) Copy the contents of your thumbdrive to the root or your harddrive

3) Make a Boot Floppy

4) Boot using the Boot Floppy whenever you want to use linux
