You should look into a "poorman's" , or "Frugal" type install to your hard drive.
Then upgrading is usually as simple as copying over ONE file, the compressed DSL image file .. ( /KNOPPIX/knoppix )
All your settings, changes, additions, and modifications can be placed in a separate partition, or added to your backup, and carry over to the new version.
If you have enough ram, you can run the entire filesystem in ramspace.
Plus, all your boot options are available to choose, or not to choose, each time you bootup..
Unfortunately, the version you are currently running, 0.7.1, is not upgrade compatible with any of the versions from 0.7.3 and up. Both the base .iso, and the extensions, have undergone major changes since the release of 0.7.1
So, backup your webpages and thttpd first, then start anew..
