I have a HD install and need to install QMEU into it but it keeps failing. Here is what I get. I'm doing this by ssh'ing into the DSL Linux system

root@1[root]# apt-get install qemu
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Package qemu has no available version, but exists in the database.
This typically means that the package was mentioned in a dependency and
never uploaded, has been obsoleted or is not available with the contents
of sources.list
E: Package qemu has no installation candidate

download dsl-embedded.zip
or download qemu manually from other sources
or possibly change your apt repos.

I downloaded the debian package qemu_0.6.1+20050407-1_i386.deb

when I tried to install it doing dpkg -i it failed

root@box:/etc/apt# dpkg -i qemu_0.6.1+20050407-1_i386.deb
