Hi i'm kind of new to linux but seem to be getting myself easily around on it.  Well what i'd like to do is have an attempt to adding new software and games etc to this Damnsmalllinux, for my own fun and knowledge, could anyone point me to the right direction on what i'd have to know in order to do shit type of stuff? Thanks.

If you're new, your best bet is to install synaptic.
Search the forums for the various posts and script.

What it gives you is a gui front-end to the apt-get package manger.
Lots of lists of software packages you can download and what will /won't run on DSL.

shit happens :)

someone could help me to have 1 videoplayer up and running?
i've tryed to install mplaer through apt-get but the whole process ended in error while installing/configuring a recently downloaded "libc6_2.3.2.ds1-11_i386.deb"

like this:
Preconfiguring packages ...
Setting up libc6 (2.3.2.ds1-11) ...
date: invalid date `Fri Apr 16 08:01:55 UTC 2004'
dpkg: error processing libc6 (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
libc6
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
