I've blacklisted the drivers as per Roberts' instructions, rebooted and then used ndiswrapper with the Win drivers for the eee:

:( ndiswrapper says: Connection failed.
iwconfig says: no wireless connections

Other issues:
no sound
battery: AC (even though it is on battery)
screen is not 800x480 but 640x480 stretched

I cannot even imagine how high the price will be when the eee hits the rest of the EU..
