UPDATE:

I found an XMMS plugin that does this.
'apt-get install xmms-alarm' will do it

Then you just going into your plugin setting in XMMS and set the time and playlist and etc.

Works like a charm!

Yeah, I did a search for cron on this board and one post proposed tha cron is unusable in DSL. I would like to know how I could download and install cron if it works. Although, ANY help on this topic is much appreciated!

Yo, I did: apt-get install cron at the xshell. It told me i needed to upgrade, so I did: apt-get update(or was it upgrage). Then I did: apt-get install cron and it worked.

Now, when I type cron at the xshell i get:

cron: can't lock /var/run/crond.pid, otherpid may be 332: Resource temporarily unavailable

BTW cron shows up as process 332 in Top. Now I just need to figure out how to edit it's parameters.

Did i mention I'm a total newb?
