In your post, does your message " I have done a mydsl" mean that you are building a new .dsl extension for MPlayer, or that you are trying to install the one available in the extensions area?
In an earlier post, you mentioned " newest testing version" I'm guessing your building it from the latest sources...
If you are building a new mplayer.dsl, take a moment to download the one from the repository, open it up, and look inside it to get an idea of how it should look when you build yours.
always verify the md5sum after downloading, so you know for sure your copy is valid and intact.
The mplayer.dsl in the repository seems to work fine. I use it frequently for viewing and playing many different files.
If you are building from the newest sources, some libs may not be present in DSL, or in the stable apt repository, that MPlayer needs.
What errors are you getting when you are compiling?
