Oh. Well, there is no special configuration for usb routers.
DSL just loads the module for the router (with the autoconfigurator, ie the green bar), and then uses the dhcp client. To do the same in Slack, do "lsmod", and check which modules have been loaded. Then just try "modprobe module" in Slack. When you get the right one, it will appear as eth0/eth1 and you can give it an ip address
