I have installed the sun version of virtual box on my windows xp. I created a new instance and gave it the current.iso sitting on my desktop as the CD ROM device.

After the box initializes, it dies with this error message :

FATAL: No bootable medium found ! System halted

I thought the ISO if DSL was a bootable image. DId anyone encounter a problem like this and more importantly, what's the solution.
Thanks

Make sure the iso was correctly downloaded and that you have the CD/DVD-ROM Drive in the boot order.

My download did not generate any error messages. So, I am pretty sure that it is a good download. My boot order in VirtualBox is CDROM->Hard disk. Still no dice here...

that doesn't really mean that it was successful though :P  Did you verify using the md5sum?

Double check that you've got the right iso to be used in your VM and that the CDROM boot order is checked off.  If this doesn't help... maybe something's wrong with the vbox installation?
