Although I guess alot of you will already appreciate this and it's far from the only approach; just a little note on putting your .dsl's on a second (business card) disk - which works very sweetly.
I once grabbed a load of business card disks on special offer only to find out, at home, that they were only 35Mb. Since then I've been trying to get a non-frisbee/how-far-away-can-I-get-it-in-the-bin use for them.
Lately I've been using them as a two disk DSL approach; iso on one and .dsl's on the second.
To the original iso I add (using Robert's mkmydsl) the optional directory but this contains symbolic links to the .dsl files, made for example like this;
ln -s /mnt/cdrom/xpen.dsl xpen.dsl
On the other you just have your .dsl's. After boot, take out the iso CD, stick in the .dsl one and don't forget to mount it......then you're in business.
With 50Mb cards you can get half the repository onto your second card, you can still get your DSL in with your credit cards and if you've made a daft mistake it gives you something to do with 35Mb cards......
All the best.
