Wassup fellow DSL users,I did a DSL HD-install and after doing some searching on the forum figured out how to make DSL load up with ALSA drivers instead of the OSS ones (by putting "alsa" at the beginning [before hda=scsi] of the append option in the lilo.conf file and typing lilo as root). However when I try to install the ALSA drivers after installing ALSADEBS.DSL I recieve these lines: Setting up knx-alsa (0.1-8) Preparing modules for alsa.... Preparing master knoppix for alsa.... depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.26/kernel/drivers/usb/auerswald.o depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.26/kernel/drivers/usb/seedtch.o depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.26/kernel/net/bridge/bridge.o depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.26/kernel/net/sctp/sctp.o ----------- All the other packages load fine except knx-alsa. I am using DSL 0.8.2 on a (Hp Vectra VL 5/166mmx SER 5DT) P1 166 with 64 megs ram and a 3gig hd (250mb swap). The soundcard appears to be an Aztech AZT 2320, which the alsa libs are supposed to support. There is no mixer dock and when Xmms tries to play a file it says that it "Cannot open audio" and to check if "the correct output plugin is selected, no other program is blocking the soundcard, and the sound card is configured." Once sound works on this machine with the ability to play ogg vorbis files it'll be a complete inexpensive desktop solution.
