Self-extracting would be the choice. There's also a java mydsl extension, which is a little smaller than the newest one.

#1: No, they are different. If you want to use .rpm's you'll have to convert them to .deb's. It'll probably be much easier for you to use the self extracting one (I'm guessing you can just execute this normally like a makeself). #2: see bolded Posted by curaga on Sep. 16 2007,18:56
The mydsl extension is 1.5.0 runtime, whereas I think the newest is something like 1.6.0R2..edit: RPM is Redhat's package system, just like mydsl is DSL's. So unless you use a Redhat based distro, they are little use to you.. Posted by ase1590 on Sep. 17 2007,08:57
