i think it's gernerally a good idea to download alsa.dsl

in my experience that has always worked.
to find the alsa.dsl file, go to one of the sites where you can download dsl and then go into a folder marked 'mydsl'

to install alsa.dsl, use the emelfm program and navigate to the folder containing alsa.dsl. then highlight alsa.dsl by clicking on it once, and then click on 'mydsl'

after you've done this, there should be a new entry in the list of programms you find by right clicking on the desktop->
->myDSL
   ->Alsa Setup

if it doesn't find your card straight away, it will suggest probing all your ports for various card types. this may take a while (i think it's fairly safe to ignore the warning, i've never had problems myself), but it tends to find what you need :)

hope this helps

Be sure to read the info files.
alsa.dsl is only for DSL v2.0 and v2.1
all other versions including DSL v2.2 use alsadebs.dsl
Also, as this is an extension you should post in the extension area of the board. Reading other users experiences with alsa may also be helpful. You should find those in the extension section of the board.
