Does anyone remember Kerbango- the Internet Radio that would allow you to search and listen to internet radio station ( a small settop box) ?

I was wondering if there is any other similar devices- I don't need a full stereo device- just small radio on my nightstand - plug my ethernet cable into it- without a pc under the table- the wife says no PC in the room.  If not maybe a way to build one, so I can listen to radio and OTR (Old Time Radio) with XMMS and alarm.

Speaker,

That is a project of mine that I have had my eye on DSL from the begining to use. Right know I am using DSL to stream audio through Xmms on my old Pentium 133 laptop, then I plug a cable from the line out to the line in on my home stereo system, and listen to Jazz all day long. I have just bought on E-Bay, a IBM Netvista Thin Client computer that runs a Pentium 233, will go up to 288 meg of ram, and boots from a flash drive, so there are no moving parts inside, (therefore perfect for the side of the bed). I'm hoping to use a 256 meg Flash card and then load DSL on it, then plug it in to the Netvista machine and boot away. Keep watch here, and I will report my progress. Oh, BTW, this thin client machine only cost 30.00, and has everything built into it.

Caulktel-

Let me know how this works out. I went to Ebay and say a unit I will be ordering so I would love to see how to set his up.

Thanks

Darrell
