How to install sound-driver?Forum: Multimedia Topic: How to install sound-driver? started by: Phux Posted by Phux on Aug. 29 2004,23:08
Good morning ;-)I have a Realtek 650 soundchip on my motherboard and i'd like to have sound on my machine with dsl installed. DSL does not support this chip. So, i downloaded the driver from realtec.com.tw, then installed gcc. Now, when i do the configure, it claims "/lib/gpp fails sanity check". What is wrong? Meanwhile i removed and reinstalled gcc. No result. Posted by ke4nt1 on Sep. 12 2004,19:22
Try using the gcc1.dsl package in the testing area..That should get you a good gcc environment. Also, try the alsadebs.dsl package for getting your soundcard running without compiling a kernel driver.. 73 ke4nt |
