sound in Flonix

I have been trying a relative of DSL - "Flonix" and it seems ok except I have no sound.  An ALS 120 sound card, works fine with DSL, but not the other. Any idea whats missing in Flonix since it's based on DSL?

DUHHHH- a week later and a test run of a few other distros (feather and Morphix) I found the problem after I had to boot into windows to use my scanner- ( No windows start soundso I guess the sound card was not fully seated.
