I have installed DSL to the hard drive and all that jazz.  I downlaod the myDSL apps to the /tmp directory (using the myDSL browser)

How do I get them to load on boot?

When you say installed to harddrive, do you mean a frugal install?
If so, copy the packages to /cdrom and they should load when you boot.  You'll need to be root to do this, and you might also need to boot with 'dsl frugal' option

What I usually do is start "mc as superuser" and copy files into /cdrom that way.  You could also use "emelfm as superuser".

From terminal, "sudo  cp  /path/to/filename.dsl  /cdrom/"
