Skype is free and simple software that will enable you to make free calls anywhere in the world in minutes. Skype, created by the people who brought you KaZaA, uses innovative P2P (peer-to-peer) technology to connect you with other Skype users. Now available in linux. I will test it. I found this software to work quite good under windows. Here is an idea for a ci or dsl extension. I still have to figure how to do it myself. < http://www.skype.com/download_linux.html > Posted by tecker on June 22 2004,08:56

Ahh Skype. Truely an awsome and innovative program. If you have a broadband connection, the sound is superb, and it even supports 5 way conference calls.I know some people who have manged to break the 5 caller limit on the conference call. Posted by one on June 30 2004,05:12

Hello everyone, first time post here.I can get Skype to start and log me in but am unable to get or send any sound from it. My mic and speakers seem to work fine when I use Audacity but no joy when using Skype. FYI.. I am using Skype 0.93 on a USB -Zip version 1.4 of DSL. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
