Does anyone know how to get a audiable sound out of Sylpheed when mail arives?
I love it otherwisw because it's so small. Oh, and a spell checker would be a groove also, but then it would'nt be small would it. Thanks,

Try slypheed-claws.

You can add a spell checker (aspell, I think), spam filter (bogofilter+sylpheed rocks, howto located < here >),
plus learn about how to do all other sorts of neat stuff with sylpheed < here >.

Not sure off the top of my head if it's possible to cause sylpheed to cause an audible alert, but I don't use it anymore. Switched to mutt so I can SSH to my machine at home from work to check/send/receive mail.
