I attempted to install OpenSSH on an older version of DSL (version 2.6) and i started a huge run around of:to install this, first install this, but to install that, first install that. I was going to give it another attempt, but i was first wondering if anyone else already knew if it would work, and secondly if it does, can they leave some instructions on how to install it. There was never DSL v2.6... ?ssh was pretty much in every release afaik... Posted by XWolfeX on May 22 2007,14:52
v2.6, i have no idea, i was just going off memory. I know it was v2.something. I know there is ssh stuff in every release, but i'm talking about using the actual OpenSSH from this site < http://www.openssh.com/ > as i am going to be using the comp for a server to hold secure data. Let me simplify this down, has anyone managed to install OpenSSH on DSL?
