Just installed DSL (my first Linux distro).
I had no problems formatting, partitioning and installing to the harddrive.
My printer is an HP Deskjet 720c, and does not appear in the supported printer list. Can anyone suggest either an alternative driver in the list that will work, or how to obtain the correct drivers.

From google it appears that your printer is one in a series of 'winprinters' that HP put out. It appears that you may have success in using cups instead of apsfilter. You will need to install it.

my printer is HP DJ5550. apsfilter prints a testpage with HP550, that works.
but I didn't realise printing from Firefox until now .... still testing
