Conky flickering problems

I installed the conky.uci file from the mydsl extensions, now I'm having problems with conky flickering constantly

I changed the conkyrc file to use double buffering, but to no avail.

any ideas?

It's possible that DSL's X server doesn't support double buffering, but that's just a guess. You might need XFree86 or Xorg.
