How can I remove the horrible flickering on crt's when using DSL?
My laptops all work wonderfully, and I enjoy showing DSL to
friends and family.  But when they use it at home or in the office,
I always hear about the flickering monitors.  What can be done to
make the flickering disappear or at least diminish?
It seems to change when I change resolutions, but it never goes away.
HELP !

You could try to set a smaller resolution or adjusting the dpi?

Again, I have tried different screen sizes, with minimal success.
I am not familiar with how to use the dpi setting in the new 0.5 version.
There has GOT to be a way to make this work smoothly.
I am choosing to use dsl for so many different projects here.
APRS - Satellite tracking - tnos/packet - games - remote admin - etc.
Just got to get the screen to be easy on the eyes.
Where can I find info on using the new DPI function correctly in 0.5 ver?

Changing DPI will not work - the problem is the refresh rate which is set to 60 Hz (it should be 75 Hz or higher to avoid flickering). In DSL 0.4.x there was an option to set refresh rate, but it didn't work, so (I think) John removed it in 0.5.0.

The only way I can think of to fix the problem, is to look at the source code for xvesa/kdrive and change the default to 75 Hz.
