The FFmpeg libavcodec supports old Windows 32 codecs like this, so MPlayer will certainly play it without any additional codec plugins (and maybe Xine will too?).

MPlayer and Xine can be downloaded from the mydsl, multimedia section.

Modern MS codecs (like Windows Media9) can also be played in MPlayer, but require the "essential" or "win32" codec pack from -
