Hi all
i'm pretty new, but alreaduy did a lot of question (so maybe u already hate me

)

there is a "dummy user tutorial" on DSL?
i mean, something could explain simple thing someone need to know (but little more advanced than this) like "how automatically load extensions", "where to save items", "wich configuration files u need to kno" (ie: .xinitrc, .xtdesktop etc)?

i'm using a 3.2 dsl frugal installed in little hard disk-like item (128 mb at most, sometime even less) and the system has a lot of configuration (touchscreen, kiosk configuration for firefox, custom icon and icon placement, etc.) and need to be kept in this way...

(having some tutorial could save u from some boring questions...

)

Have you picked up a copy of "Damn Small Linux" by Mike Weber?
Also, check the site news regarding new book coming out in July.

note: most of the specific types of info you noted you'll find on the board or in wiki as others have already asked the same questions.

yep i know
but sometime i found that a lot of ppl already asked about difficult task, but for more simple task noone asked :\ (i'm pretty noob in linux e in dsl too)

Hey Divago, if you are still working on this, I'll be happy to help you out. I just got done designing a kiosk-like system using DSL that is very similar to what you described.

If you have a question that is not specifically answered in the FAQ, the wiki, or the Dillo page that opens when you first load the DSL desktop, you might want to consider a search in these forums. Most common issues have been answered at least once here. But still feel free to ask your questions here. Try to be as specific as you can about what you want to do, be sure to say what your setup is. You've stated you have a frugal install, but it will also be helpful to say what partitions you have set up, any custom boot options you use, even what hardware you have if you believe it might be related to your question. The more specific and detailed you can be with your question, the more specific and detailed the answers can be.
