Hi all, I just built a new DSL disk based on 7.2 with all the myDSL extensions in the /optional directory of the CDROM. I've run this on my home machine and been able to install the myDSL extension there (ramdisk). I did a HD install to a Compaq Laptop 1800 and have DSL running with /optional directory copied over to the HD. However, when I try to install one of the myDSL extension nothing happens, no install, message nothing.
Now I should tell you that I had to install to the HD on the laptop this way; had to boot from a 7.1 floppy and then kick off the HD install from the CDROM. Also, for some reason, after the install DSL couldn't 'see' anything in the /optional directory on the CDROM. So I put the CRDOM in my work linux machine and used scp to copy the files over to the DSL laptop. I can see the files in the /optional directory, but still the myDSL tools won't install them.
Any suggestions about what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks in advance, Doug
