Is there any way to rotate the screen to 90, 180 or 270 degrees?
I have a project where the display output will be shown on a portrait wide screen monitor.
Xrandr is used to do the trick on standard distros but is it supported on DSL?
I use a VIA 6000 mainboard btw and I'm not sure if the vga chipset must support this option or is software dependent only.

You'll want to install one of the XFree86 extensions in order to rotate.  I don't know for sure that it is included in the package, but i would be surprised if it wasn't.
