Or try booting his machine with DSL, mount the HD, and attempt to burn CDs or DVDs of the data. Haven't really tried the built-in burn stuff in DSL, there are also more "userfriendly" burn softwares in the mydsl repository (eg K3B). Probably the easiest option, depending on how much data you have to copy. If the data is somehow scrambled, then I don't know. |
