DSL Ideas and Suggestions :: more space saving/

1) While experimenting with a remaster i noticed that there are many symlinks that point to a specific path rather than a relative path, particularly files pointing to busybox.  If a symlink in /bin points to /bin/busybox it uses 12 bytes, but if it just points to busybox it uses 7. It's only a few bytes, but it's something.

2) Is there a reason to have /bin/syslinux in the isolinux version of DSL? It's 15k

3) /etc/X11/fonts/misc contains bitchx.alias and xfonts-artwiz.alias, but neither of these packages are included in DSL.

4) /KNOPPIX/etc/apm/event.d/* -- These are symlinks to themselves?

5) What are these empty "menu*" directories peppered throughout the system?
