DSL Ideas and Suggestions :: Efax

I know it might be a bit lame and basic, but efax compiles, and runs ok on my dsl.
its only 155k total
Searching for Fax on damnsmalllinux dont get to many hits, so there might not be a huge interest.

But I'll submit my tiny tar.gz if anyone is interested.
I am also working on hacking up a lua for it.
Perhaps something similar to Efax-Gtk (but without the Gtk ;))

Anyone with talent is welcome to help, as I am utterly useless in Lua

You should make a .dsl file. That would be a great item to put into the DSL repository.

I have been searching for a fax utility for DSL for a LONG time, and I suck at compiling stuff.

Tar that sucker up and send it to Kent!

A little script to put the machine into fax receive mode would be great also and then convert to multi-page tif or pdf upon receipt....

And don't you also need the companion efix??

PM me and I'll send back a tg.gz link, I dont want to submit untill I have the lua interface done, for now it will only be the basic binarys, efix included.

Beta testers are wery welcome.
I only have ADSL home, and have to test the fax stuff at work.

Also I dont like .dsl's, but maby as an UCI...
