DSL Ideas and Suggestions :: distcc

Great little distro ! I made a remaster with distcc and it works great.
Fits easily toram and runs like a charm, allowing me to do distributed compiling on a machine without even a hard drive.

This program is such a natural for dsl I can't believe its not already a part of it. (and yes, I know there were already other distcc live cd's out there)

Is there any point though, with no gcc or make?

Install gnu-utils.dsl
Enable Apt ( or install dsl-dpkg.dsl )
Edit sources.list from stable to unstable
Apt-get update
Apt-get install gcc g++ make
Enjoy...

Yes, but that defies the point surely? There's not much reason to include distcc if you have to apt-get things to use it; you may as well do an apt-get install distcc as well.
