DSL Ideas and Suggestions :: I've thought of a way to buy John a new server.

Buying a dsl-usb may be very interesting for an Ebayer. The problem is that you have to put a lot of effortto be present on Ebay to get things done, and that after a coupleof weeks, many will emulate you and you will have to find another product to sell for fundraising.

nevertheless, it's still the best idea. Of course emailing is the first option, but the first does not prevent the second. Emailing feedbacks are very low..usually about 1-2%. I personally have donated a little in the past. I'm thinking about buying a usb-key with dsl preinstalled.

Is this becoming a cult? If so, where do I sign up? I too would like to meet the damn small angels. lol

Really though, the banner ad system I was talking about, it making a little banner with his USB Pen drives or mini ITX computers, slapping them on some banner ad, ads by google, and general internet marketing. Get set up with pricegrabber.com to list his ITX's. I did a search on pricegrabber and there wasn't a whole lot of computers like that to compete with. Start out small. Advertise the ITX's and USB drives and even make a banner ad for donations. Maybe we should be seeing those up above every page on damnsmalllinux.org instead of "Ads by Google". Stop competing with yourself. Put your own advertisements up there.
