DSL Ideas and Suggestions :: "R"



Is there some package of the "R" programm for DSL?

I do need it for my statistics work i've got to do for university.

cataclysmic, yes there is such a package.  You can get it from www.debian.org and it's called r-recommended.  You could also install the dsl-dpkg.dsl package and run:

sudo su
apt-get update
apt-get install r-recommended
exit

I will try to make a package for this next week.  If anyone else wants to try first, that's OK too.
what exactly does R do?

ico2, R is a language and environment for statistical computing and graphics.

here is the home page, but you can get the debs from debian.  Could you make a package for him to help him out?  I can't get to it quickly.
i am not really able to make any dsls until i get my modem going in dsl (could take some time :) )

i will try when i do though :)
