DSL Ideas and Suggestions :: NIS and DSL

I would like to revive some older computers within a network. The logins in this (already existing) network are based on NIS, so I need NIS support on my new old DSL-computers, but I did not find any possibility to configure it, and I did not find any of the programs needed for NIS.
So I really would appreciate the possibility of using NIS with DSL.
