I wanted that a world contest was done for the v5 backgrounds...to improve the relations of dsl community and no dsl users...The theory of social networks says that always there is a cousin or another relative who can do photos or designs...only is needed to fix the size of jpgs about 100 kb ??

After proof-of-concept, I am still compiling from sources and assembling the system.

My attention will be diverted back to 4.x and the new lua_fltk from florian.
The new lua-fltk will also need to be in tiny core.

I don't think I should call this new base DSL v5.
It is not a complete desktop.
It is just enough to boot into tinyX/JWM and fetch/install mydsl extensions & modules.
Together with the familiar DSL way of boot options, backup/restore and some simple tools, mostly lua and lua_fltk stuff.

It is a much simpler system and hopefully no pre-existing libraries will be in the way for supporting a great collection of user contributed extension.

- sounds good, dsl-3.x and dsl-4.x are already great desktops. As several of us are discovering (posts on gtk+, etc) in some ways, the less there is in the base, the easier it is to add stuff...

..and if the tiny base is compiled from source, we will be sure of its orgin for libs/headers/etc
