DSL Ideas and Suggestions :: User Cheat Code

How about a cheat code e.g "user=anything" which we can pick up somewhere and use in bootlocal.sh to do something, e.g
change x-server, mouse-speeds, anything..

You can already do that. As far as I know this can be done on just about any Linux system.
