DSL Ideas and Suggestions :: New browser ...



Hi , first of all congratulations for your wonderful work ... I'm a fan (and a user) since 0.9 version , cause I'm interested in use of old machine ...

I love this distro but I think that one of the biggest problems in use on  old machine are browsers ...

Dillo is incredible about speed ...but non about completeness ...
For Firefox is valid the opposite ...

I've recently found a project very interesting that could resolve (partially) the problem ...

Kazehakase requires GTK+.  If someone wants to try, it is available on Debian Packages also.

EDIT: Firefox is the best browser for me.

Required software and libraries

   * Gtk+2.0 or newer, (2.2 recommended)
   * Mozilla built with Gtk+2 (1.4 or newer). Kazehakase 0.3.4 and newer versions also support having SeaMonkey? instead of Mozilla.

I would give up the distro before i give up firefox! :D
opera is not a bad alternative.:)
opera9 is even beter :)
