DSL Ideas and Suggestions :: Folders, Trash, Saving, and Copy/Paste

You can make your own trash bin, if you like. Just make a directory called "trash" or "recycle" in /home/desktop and when you want to move something, but not delete it , then move the file to that directory. If you decide you don't want it anymore, then just remove it from that directory.
but I tried knoppix and there is a trash

are you telling me tat it doesn't delete it

wow, that what the point of that icon; a desktop clutterrer (frogive the spelling)???

and can you explain how to save the firefox stuff because i'm not sure how

and how do you get it to boot up woth all the saved changes automaticly

Umm, have you used Windows? Do you think the 'Recycle Bin' deletes files?

Nope it doesn't. The recycle bin is just a holding area. You have to 'empty' it and even after you do that you can still reclaim the files that were 'emptied'.
