DSL Ideas and Suggestions :: wish list

Yes

Yes

I would like to see flash work in DSL. I did not see a package for it & I'm not even sure if there is a Linux version.
The oficial Linux Flash plugin from Adobe/Macromedia is here http://www.macromedia.com/shockwa....veFlash

A GPL version of Flash that doesn't support much but earlier versions (v 3 or 4 I think) is here:  http://gplflash.sourceforge.net/ with GPLFlash 1 debs here http://packages.debian.org/unstable/web/libflash-mozplugin

A Alpha Quality Gnu Flash Plugin called Gnash is here http://www.gnu.org/software/gnash/ although only the standalone works rights now but it does work with Flash 7 swf.

Forgot something....

The easiest way to get and install the Offical Flash Plugin in Mozilla Firefox (Assuming you have installed DSL) is to go to a website that doesn't use Javascript to check the plugins then click on the broken plugin.  The Mozilla plugin finder will then display the EULA- Click I agree if you agree to the terms, or no if you don't but it won't install, then Mozilla Firefox will automagically install the pl;ayer for you.

http://www.tulrich.com/geekstuff/gameswf.html has a non-check plugin for you and also has a free (GPL) verion of Flash if you don't agree to MM EULA.

My wish list:

- Elinks , with ssl support
- Lynx, with ssl support

That's it, asking for too much?
